Michael R. Pifer, P.E.

Mr. Pifer graduated from Michigan State University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Pifer is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Michigan. He has been employed by Kraft Engineering and Surveying, Inc. (formerly Richard H. Kraft Engineering, Inc.) from 1977 to the present time. He acquired majority ownership of the firm in 2006, and he is currently the President of the firm. Mr. Pifer has over thirty-five years of experience in the planning, surveying, design engineering, and construction management phases for all types of civil engineering projects, including roads and highways, bridges, culverts, storm water management, sanitary sewer collection, water main distribution, parks and recreational facilities, sidewalks and non-motorized paths, and site development projects. He also has significant experience with right-of-way acquisition, wetland delineation and mitigation, and floodplain analysis. Mr. Pifer is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers.

Timothy L. O’Dell

Construction Department Manager

Mr. O’Dell graduated in 1983 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Construction Engineering Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Ferris State College. Mr. O’Dell has over twenty-five years of experience as an Engineering Technician and Construction Inspector for the design and construction management of roads, bridges, drainage, sanitary sewer, and water main projects. He has significant experience with engineering design surveys, land surveying, and construction staking. In addition, he works as a designer and engineering technician in the design and construction plan phase, and as a senior inspector during the construction phase of a project.

David J. Kenney, P.S.

Survey Department Manager

Mr. Kenney attended Ferris State College, graduating in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying. Mr. Kenney is currently licensed in the State of Michigan as a professional land surveyor. He has over thirty years of experience as a professional surveyor for engineering design surveys, structure and hydraulic surveys, construction staking and layout for road, bridge, utility, and site development projects. Mr. Kenney also has extensive experience with land development surveys, subdivision platting, condominiums, property surveys, land title surveys, section corner remonumentation surveys, and legal descriptions. Mr. Kenney serves on the Genesee County Remonumentation, and Shiawassee County Remonumentation Boards of Review. Current member of the Saginaw Valley Chapter of the Michigan Society of Professional Surveyors.
